Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy applies to SecuritHub.com, SecuritHub branded and non-branded apps, and other SecuritHub-related sites, communications and services (“Services” & “Sites”). We use cookies and similar technologies such as pixels, local storage and mobile ad IDs (collectively referred to in this policy as “cookies”) to collect and use data as part of our Services, as defined in our Privacy Policy  (“Services”) and which includes our sites, communications, mobile applications and off-site Services. In the spirit of transparency, this policy contains information about how and when we use these technologies. If it does not provide the information you were looking for, or you have any further questions about the use of Cookies on our services, please contact us.

By continuing to visit or use our Sites and Services, you are agreeing to the use of cookies and similar technologies for the purposes described in this policy.

What technologies are used?

Our Services and some of our Service Providers use certain monitoring and tracking technologies, such as cookies, beacons, pixels, tags and scripts (collectively, “Cookies”) in order to maintain, provide and improve our Sites and Services, and in order to provide our users with a better experience (for instance in order to track users’ preferences, to better secure our services, to identify technical issues and to monitor and improve the overall performance of our services).

Cookies are small text files that are stored by the browser (for example, Google Chrome or Safari) on your computer or mobile device that enable SecuritHub features and functionality. They allow websites to store things like user preferences. Any browser visiting our sites may receive cookies from us or cookies from third parties such as our partners or service providers.

We use two types of cookies: persistent cookies and session cookies. A persistent cookie lasts beyond the current session and is mainly used for recognizing you as an existing member, so it’s easier to return to SecuritHub and interact with our Services without signing in again. Since a persistent cookie stays in your browser, it will be read by SecuritHub when you return to one of our Sites. By contrast, session cookies last only as long as the session (usually the current visit to a website or a browser session).

We also use pixels to learn more about your interactions with email content or web content, such as whether you interacted with ads or posts. A pixel is a tiny image that may be embedded within web pages and emails, requiring a call (which provides device and visit information) to our servers in order for the pixel to be rendered in those web pages and emails. Pixels can also enable us and third parties to place cookies on your browser.

How does SecuritHub use these technologies?

Performance:  We use Cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences for tools found on the services, so you don’t have to re-set them each time you visit.

Analytics: We use Cookies and similar technologies to gather statistics and collect information regarding how visitors and registered members use our services. Your browser will tell us if you have these Cookies and, if you don’t, we generate new ones. This allows us to track how many individual users we have and how often they visit the services. Unless you are signed in to our services, we cannot use these technologies to identify individuals.

Authentication: We use Cookies and similar technologies to recognize when you visit our Services, which account you are signed in with and if you are allowed to access to a particular service. While you are signed in to our services, we combine information from your registration cookies with analytics Cookies, which we could use to identify which pages you have seen.

Security: We use Cookies and similar technologies to make your interactions with our Services faster and more secure. For example, we use cookies to enable and support our security features, keep your account safe and to help us detect malicious activity and violations of our User Agreement.

Advertising: These Cookies  help us show relevant advertising to you more effectively, both on and off our Services and to measure the performance of such ads. We also use Cookies and similar technologies to determine whether content has been shown to you. We may use Cookies set by another organization, so we can more accurately target advertising to you. We also set Cookies on certain other sites that we advertise on.

Third Party Integration: On some pages of our Services, other organizations may also set their own cookies. They do this to track the performance of their applications that are integrated with our services, or to customize their services for you. Because of how cookies work, our website cannot access these cookies, nor can the other organization access the data in cookies we use on our services.

Your Choices

You have choices on how SecuritHub uses cookies and similar technologies. Please note that if you limit our ability to set cookies and similar technologies, you may worsen your overall user experience, since it may no longer be personalized to you. It may also stop you from saving customized settings like login information.

Browser Controls

All modern browsers allow you to change your cookie settings. You can usually find these settings in the ‘Options’ or ‘Preferences’ menu of your browser. In order to understand these settings, the following links may be helpful, or you can use the Help option in your browser for more details.

Please note that some web browsers may transmit Do Not Track signals to websites with which the browser communicates, telling the site not to follow its online movements. Because of differences in how web browsers interpret this feature, it is not always clear whether Users intend for these signals to be transmitted, or whether they are even aware of them. Therefore, SecuritHub does not generally respond to “do not track” signals.
